Design your own film poster

With art therapist Ursi Jemmi and primary school teacher Laura Jemmi

For ages 8 to 14

This workshop is designed for children and adolescents who require special support and assistance.

Imagine if you wrote your own story, made a film of it and then acted in the film yourself. What would the film poster show?

We work with motifs from old film posters, tearing or cutting them up, reassembling them, sticking them to a base and painting or drawing on them. Together, we will create a poster that makes everyone who sees it curious and inspires them to go to the cinema that very instant.

The course room is wheelchair-accessible. Materials will be provided.

Date/time: Wednesday, 30 September 2020, 1:30 – 4 p.m.
Led by: Ursi and Laura Jemmi
Where: Hall 1, fourth floor of the Hotel Four Points by Sheraton

This workshop is exclusively for children with special needs. You can find further information and the registration form  here.

Workshop 5:

How film music is made

With Diego Baldenweg, Nora Baldenweg & Lionel Baldenweg of Great Garbo

For ages 6 to 10

The audience often isn’t even consciously aware of it, yet without it cinema would be much less exciting and emotional: the music. How is it created and what do composers pay particular attention to? Siblings Lionel, Diego and Nora Baldenweg, who composed the music for films such as DI CHLI HÄX and ZWINGLI, demonstrate how they work, using film clips as sample material. You can join in too and make sound effects and music yourself. After that you will not only watch but also hear films in a completely different light.

Materials will be provided.

Led by: Diego Baldenweg with Nora Baldenweg & Lionel Baldenweg
Where: hall 1, fourth floor at the Hotel Four Points by Sheraton
